After college I married Donna Karrel, who went to college with Pat Wood. They also shared an apartment in NYC . ( Thanks Pat! ). We moved to Boston where I started my career with General Foods. I left them to set off on my own and had 22 wonderful years building small companies and selling them. In 1991 I headed for Wall Street retiring from Merrill Lynch a few years ago. Donna and I live in a small ocean front town 40 miles toward Cape Cod from Boston. We have two daughters. Lauren, our oldest, graduated Bates College and then moved to NYC to start her career. She currently lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband Tom and two boys Holden and Aidan. Our second daughter graduated Syracuse and now lives on Sanibel Island, FL. with her husband Doug and their two children May and Rhys. Both girls crossed paths with Martha Holmes in NYC. ( Martha you were wonderful to them! ) My retired time is spent volunteering and serving on the board of a South Shore non-profit that cares for, houses, and provides a work environment for 600 mentally challenged adults. The remainder of my time is spent boating, golfing, fishing, skiing, gardening, traveling and doing tons of reading. Donna is a professeor at a Boston area college and does not appear to be slowing down. She loves it. For those of you that remember my brothers and sister they are well. Hank lives on Cape Cod in Chatham. Will lives in Mystic, Ct. with his wife ( Georgia Scott from Chappaqua). Martha is an artist and lives in Brewster on Cape Cod with her husband John, also an artist. I hope to see you all at the reunion. We truly had a special class. If you can not attend please fill out the bio on the web site. You are truly cared for and people want to know about your life. My best to all, Peter |

I've had great fun in a creative career: I was a copywriter for big ad agencies in NYC and quit when I won the Lion at Cannes and the honor of being named TV Copywriter of the Year in Adweek East. I wasn't going to do any better than I had already done and I wasn't in it for money and size of office and power over others' careers: I was just a creative person looking for new challenges. So I then started a film production company through which I wrote and directed films for National Geographic, Nickelodeon, the UN, Children's TV Workshop, along with advertising campaigns for Puerto Rico Tourism, Pizza Hut and others. I also enjoyed writing and producing a film for President and Mrs. Reagan that ran from the Republican National Convention in 1984 (though I did not vote for him). I've been a newspaper columnist for four years, an essayist on NPR a published songwriter, and have had seven works published in literary magazines in the last year. My husband Chuck and I have been hilariously married for 41 years and are enjoying living in the countryside of the Hudson Valley with our two horses, four cats and one Katrina dog, after 30 years of living in Manhattan. For those of you familiar with my report cards, aren't you glad I didn't turn out to be your accountant?!

Wow. This is a great website (boy does that music bring back memories!) and it’s wonderful to catch up on the lifetime experiences of all who have written in. I will not be able to attend the reunion, but know it will be wonderful. The planning committee has done a great job. Steve, kudos to you for that incredible Excel file of names and contact information and to everyone who helped track us all down.
I graduated from Tufts University with a BS in Biology in 1965 and remained in Boston to work at Harvard Medical School for a few years. In 1967, tiring of dreary Boston winters and drawn to the beauty of Denver and its surrounding mountains, I moved to Denver and worked at the University of Colorado Medical School as a research specialist. There I met and married my husband and we moved to Atlanta for his job where I remain to this day.
Here in Atlanta, I worked in research at Emory University School of Medicine until I retired in August 2010. I played competitive tennis most of my adult life and that left me with a badly frayed meniscus in my left knee so, for exercise, I’m now enjoying yoga, tai chi, Pilates and cycling, all of which are more gentle on the knee than tennis. I really do miss tennis though….
I divorced in 1983 and raised my 3 children from the ages of 8 (twin girls – Amy and Nancy) and 9 (my son Brian) as a single parent. Brian now lives in Florida with his wife and 3 children ages 10, 8 and 6. Nancy lives nearby with her husband and his 2 children by a previous marriage. Amy lives in Phoenix with her husband and just gave birth 2 months prematurely to a beautiful baby girl who is now thriving. Gardening, traveling, volunteering, reading and visiting grandkids round out my days as I begin reinventing myself for the next part of my life journey. Since my mom lived to be over 100, I figure I have some time left for new experiences!

Comments next to my pic in the yearbook referred to Nurse Jane. Well, here I am at the age of 67 still nursing - after 31 years in the profession. It took me a while to get here. I went to nursing school in 1978 and graduated from Columbia here in New York. I do still love what I do. These past 3 years I have been working at a hospital providing palliative care to persons with cancer. BUT, the very best part of these past years has been my three grandchildren - Pablo age 5, Cocoa age 14 and Boat age 16. They are the stars and sunshine in my life. I keep busy with them and I am lucky to have them all in New York. I am happy and healthy and look forward to re-connects !!!!!

My journey post 1961 has been rewarding in every way. I have been married 45 years to Natalie Walsh, HGHS '63. We have two bright and accomplished adult children (son in Tucson and daughter in Raleigh) and three grandsons, twins 10 and "William the elder" 12. Our business lives have taken us to NYC, NJ, NC, NJ, IL, FL, PA, IL (again), NH, CA, and finally to Charlottesville 12 years ago. I am working at UVa for the Athletics Dept. Steve Walsh was a dear friend for 60 years prior to his death 3 years ago. We see Swede Murphy and his wife Jayne 3 or 4 times annually. Natalie and I don't ski or play tennis any longer but we continue to play golf in a dismal fashion. We are free of health issues beyond what seems to be the norm for people our age. We hope to be at the Reunion next fall.

Between raising children and caring for aging parents I had a 14 year career as a programmer/analyst/consultant. Very enjoyable! Retirement has brought many new endeavors: helping our nurse daughter-in-law launch and maintain a program for critically ill children (now used in more than 70 children’s hospitals here and abroad), assisting my husband as he transitioned from non-fiction to writing his first novel, and discovering in myself an interest in designing and making contemporary quilts. Six grandchildren (five here in Tucson) are our joy.
“Grow old along with me! The best is yet to be, the last of life, for which the first was made. Our times are in his hand who saith, 'A whole I planned, youth shows but half; Trust God: See all, nor be afraid!'” |

I've retired to Portland Maine after living in Washington DC for 44 years. I enjoyed my career first as a teacher and then as an organizational consultant working both domestically and overseas. Although I still have a couple of clients, most of my time is spent donating expertise to the non-profit sector and working as a docent at the Portland Museum of Art |
